It is also prohibited to make mud with spittle and smear it on his eyes&#8221; (Shabbat 108:20).<\/p>\n<p>According to the Mishna, &#8220;One should be willing to walk four miles to water in order to wash your hands rather than to eat with unwashed hands&#8221; (Sotah, 4b) .. . &#8220;He who neglects hand washing is as he who is a murderer&#8221; (Challah, J, 58:3).<\/p>\n<p>Matt. 3:10-12;10:34-38; Mark 2:21-22; Luke 12:49; John 2:14-17; 4:21-24<\/p>\n<p>I guess not only was Jesus rubbing spittle and mud in the man&#8217;s eyes that healed, but he was also rubbing it in the faces of the religious authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the Mishnah it is stated: &#8220;To heal a blind man on the Sabbath it is prohibited to inject wine in his eyes.
