Happy Passover

Well, today is a very special day for me for a number of reasons. One of them is that it is Passover. It is a time of passing over into life and a celebration of my life today.

About this time last year, I celebrated it in a very special way with two homeless individuals and a pastor friend of mine.  A year later, one homeless dude is working and has an apartment. The other is working, but not quite self-sufficient just yet. My my how much can change in a year. Some things have changed with me as well.

This year I lead up to Passover by cleansing.

I fasted for a few days leading up to Passover to do a really really good detox. I had a major headache on the 2nd day even after doing the required enemas and such to empty the bowels of toxin. It took until the 4th day before my body was done flushing toxins this time around. I’d say I need to avoid processed cheese a bit better, I guess my body is still pretty dirty from years of cigarette smoke, processed foods, and McDonalds. It was a wonder I could even remember my dreams. I also went through and did a review of the Exodus story and connected it to the Last Supper as told in the New Testament. It is amazing how different it is each time I read it with more experience and age under my belt. Different things I didn’t notice before.

Another thing I did was to clean out closet, my house a bit, and to clean the back yard. Man it felt good to do that. I wonder why? Have you ever wondered why?

The feeling that we get when we clean is there by design i think. The cleaning activities are put into the scriptures for a reason, but all too often those basic simple things are ignored and replaced with mounds of tradition, easter eggs, and whatever else until the point is lost. I’ve since learned that there are a variety of other traditions that use house cleaning as a way of cleaning out the mind. Edgar Cayce recommended that one’s prayer area be cleaned before meditating and praying. The physical being an illusion, or actually an allusion to something greater, in that the part of us that we see in the physical is not unlike the part of the iceberg seen on the surface of the ocean.

I also worked on cleansing out some artifacts in my mind. Some resentments here and there.

The cleaning has allowed some of my perceptions of things to change as well I think. A year ago, I figured celebrate Passover, but I really wasn’t quite sure why other than the Bible says to from what I can tell. There are different perspectives on Passover, indeed, my own has grown and evolved. Around the world, gajillions of Christians are getting ready to celebrate Easter and it has barely crossed my mind. I remember it being so “taboo” to even say the word Passover last year. It freaks some Christians out for some reason,  particularly my wife. The perception of it though is what is interesting.

For many, Passover = Jewish. They can not get around it. It triggers an association in their mind that has been placed in there by a couple thousand years of tradition. It triggers a certain aversion. For others, it is welcomed. I have no idea why (actually i do, but am not going there just yet), but I had to be careful last year due to the taboo nature of the mental association. It would be sort of like naming one’s child Beezelebub or something equivalent. The kid could be the nicest kid on the planet, but would still go through hell for having a name like that.

I’ve also learned that the measure that we judge others will be brought right back on us. Fortunately, as I have grown spiritually, that part seems to come faster. I do something I shouldn’t. Whammo… get delivered a judgment.

Think of it like this. Once you become aware of Karma, or the law that says that as a man sows, so shall he reap, there is no longer any need to hide that spiritual law. It needs to remain hidden while you are yet asleep, otherwise your doing of right may not be “honest” but rather, for fear of retribution from the law.  If we are all but children on this planet, and God is trying to raise us up – he would probably want us to do things for the right reason – not because of fear of receiving the sometimes negative fruits of our own judgements.  I would want the same out of my children, so perhaps this applies to higher things as well. Thus the law of karma would have to remain hidden until we were ready to become aware of it. Basically, whenever you judge someone or are fail to act appropriately, those things come back on you so that you get to experience what it was like.

As part of karmic retribution, I was pretty silly about celebration of certain holidays about 2 years ago. Pardon the seemingly inflammatory expression, but I was “jewing” them up (did that trigger anything within you?), that is, becoming a bit too draconian and losing the forest through the trees. A year later I have learned that like Judas was to Jesus, we must kill our inner Jew – that part of us that wants to attach rules and regulations without bound to everything and without understanding why. There is a time for such things; however, as we grow we must come to understand why things are, how they work, etc. In as much as there are moral and other lessons provided by the Bible, it also provides a map of our minds, a map of the laws of how this places works, and how to have a good marriage, both with the Son of God, and your earthly wife. These things are under the surface and can not be seen by most at first is what I have learned.

Let’s try a small example though, the Beast discussed in Revelation is just as much a part of our own mind, but people prefer to focus on some external “prophetic” event or other such things rather than work on what is inside. I know, because I was one of them. Like Paul, walking around pointing fingers as described in the book of Acts, it seems that the first part of the journey is doing exactly that. At some point, the seeker’s eyes become opened to another source of light and they may begin to turn inward.

So while learning Karmic stuff, about two years ago I was getting judgemental on some of the holidays even Passover, but part of my heart felt like there was no reason to be judgemental about it, but celebrate it anyway and not get all snooty. I did as best I could with that. Since then,  I’ve learned is to celebrate other holidays with people because there is a higher law at work – that is – it would be better to be with your family, than to make a stink about Easter being pagan or whatever. The fact is, it IS Pagan – this is indisuputable. This is FACT, but a fact that many are not ready for due to the perceptions and mental filters they have grown up with, refusal to question things, to seek things out, etc. That includes me at points in my life.

Passover – the first full moon after the spring equinox! It is a halfway point between summer and winter and as such provide great opportunity and potential to become “reborn”. I don’t mean the silly self-declared emotional reborn like I myself did not even two years ago, but the level to which one becomes imbued, becomes like a virgin as pure as the driven snow – allowing for the Son of God to be born of you. I’ve found that the half-way point between day and night is an optimum point for mediation as it blends the female and male energies within us. In a similar level, so is Passover but it is like a big cosmic boost.

What does the word Passover trigger in you? Does it invoke fear? To me, it trigger Joy – a celebratory time for passing over into LIFE!

So celebrate your Easter eggs and your lent just like they did for ol’ Tammuz and the various sun gods across the planet. More power to you and those that you love, but why not celebrate Passover while you are at it and maybe one day, instead!

While I’m on the subject here is sort of a lay out of the things I prepared for Passover.

I am now on day 2 of a water fast. I may switch to juice tomorrow if I get sick or something, but right now I feel fine.

I’ve been taken a little bit of colon cleansing products and herbs each morning. I can’t wait to see what kind of dreams I have the morning of Passover.

Passover Preparation – Edgar Cayce Apple Fast

Categories: Fasting

Passover is coming up in the Northern Hemisphere before too long. I am preparing my house, body, and mind for this event. One thing I have been doing is to read the Exodus story. I’m trying to understand it from an allegorical standpoint now. Instead of looking at it as something some guy named Moses did a couple thousand years ago, I’m treating it as a story about my own spiritual journey – getting across the Red (Reed) Sea with an army of angry Egyptians chasing me.

Fasting

I’m now on day 2 of an Edgar Cayce style apple fast.  I open the day with a colon cleansing product and a “gentle laxative” herbal tea.  I used organic apples.I can say that my head is spacing out so far – as though it is being compressed or something. They say that when you fast you may get headaches from the toxins that are being removed from the body so I guess it is working.

House Cleaning

Basically going through each room and cabinet and cleaning. Sure does make me feel better when I complete a section.

Mind Cleaning

Throwing out all my porn – just kidding. Reviewing areas to improve. I think I may have a spreadsheet or something to do a peel back of the onion to see what else is left. One of the areas I’ve been really working on is not getting “invoked” on a couple of areas:

  • something unfair happens to someone or myself
  • someone talks and talks and talks and you can’t get a word in

Scientific Proof of Reincarnation?

Scientific Proof of Reincarnation
Dr. Ian Stevenson’s Life Work

“Either he [Dr. Stevenson] is making a colossal mistake. Or he will be known as the Galileo of the 20th century.” Dr Harold Lief in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease

Probably the best known, if not most respected, collection of scientific data that appears to provide scientific proof that reincarnation is real, is the life’s work of Dr. Ian Stevenson. Instead of relying on hypnosis to verify that an individual has had a previous life, he instead chose to collect thousands of cases of children who spontaneously (without hypnosis) remember a past life. Dr. Ian Stevenson uses this approach because spontaneous past life memories in a child can be investigated using strict scientific protocols. Hypnosis, while useful in researching into past lives, is less reliable from a purely scientific perspective. In order to collect his data, Dr. Stevenson methodically documents the child’s statements of a previous life. Then he identifies the deceased person the child remembers being, and verifies the facts of the deceased person’s life that match the child’s memory. He even matches birthmarks and birth defects to wounds and scars on the deceased, verified by medical records. His strict methods systematically rule out all possible “normal” explanations for the child’s memories.

Dr. Stevenson has devoted the last forty years to the scientific documentation of past life memories of children from all over the world. He has over 3000 cases in his files. Many people, including skeptics and scholars, agree that these cases offer the best evidence yet for reincarnation.

Dr. Stevenson’s credentials are impeccable. He is a medical doctor and had many scholarly papers to his credit before he began paranormal research. He is the former head of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Virginia, and now is Director of the Division of Personality Studies at the University of Virginia.

In order to help the reader become familiar with Dr. Stevenson’s work, a 1988 Omni Magazine Interview is reprinted below. Following is a summary of one of Dr. Stevenson’s most famous cases.

——–

Sweet Swarnlata’s Story

The story of Swarnlata is characteristic of Stevenson’s cases: the young girl’s memories began when she was 3, she gave enough information to enable Stevenson to locate the family of the deceased person she remembered (the case was “solved”), and she gave more than 50 specific facts that were verified. But Swarnlata’s case was also different from most because her memories did not fade. And this is a sweet case, characterized by love and happy memories rather than by violent death and struggles between castes and families, like in so many other cases.

Swarnlata Mishra was born to an intellectual and prosperous family in Pradesh in India in 1948. When she was just three years old and traveling with her father past the town of Katni more than 100 miles from her home, she suddenly pointed and asked the driver to turn down a road to “my house”, and suggested they could get a better cup of tea there than they could on the road.

Soon after, she related more details of her life in Katni, all of which were written down by her father. She said her name was Biya Pathak, and that she had two sons. She gave details of the house: it was white with black doors fitted with iron bars; four rooms were stuccoed, but other parts were less finished; the front floor was of stone slabs. She located the house in Zhurkutia, a district of Katni; behind the house was a girl’s school, in front was a railway line, and lime furnaces were visible from the house. She added that the family had a motor car (a very rare item in India in the 1950’s, and especially before Swarnlata was born). Swarnlata said Biya died of a “pain in her throat”, and was treated by Dr. S. C. Bhabrat in Jabalpur. She also remembered an incident at a wedding when she and a friend had difficulty finding a latrine.

In the spring of 1959, when Swarnlata was 10 years old, news of the case reached Professor Sri H. N. Banerjee, an Indian researcher of paranormal phenomenon and colleague of Stevenson. Banerjee took the notes her father made and traveled to Katni to determine if Swarnlata’s memories could be verified.

Using nothing more than the description that Swarnlata had given, he found the house–despite the house having been enlarged and improved since 1939 when Biya died. It belonged to the Pathak’s (a common name in India), a wealthy, prominent family, with extensive business interests. The lime furnaces were on land adjoining the property; the girls school was 100 yards behind the Pathak’s property, but not visible from the front.

He interviewed the family and verified everything Swarnlata had said. Biya Pathak had died in 1939 leaving behind a grieving husband, two young sons, and many younger brothers. These Pathaks had never heard of the Mishra family, who lived a hundred miles away; the Mishra’s had no knowledge of the Pathak family.

The next scene in this story sounds like a plot from Agatha Christie, but is all true, extracted from the Stevenson’s tabulations in Swarnlata’s published case. In the summer of 1959, Biya’s husband, son, and eldest brother journeyed to the town of Chhatarpur, the town where Swarnlata now lived, to test Swarnlata’s memory. They did not reveal their identities or purpose to others in the town, but enlisted nine townsmen to accompany them to the Mishar home, where they arrived unannounced.

Swarnlata immediately recognized her brother and called him “Babu”, Biya’s pet name for him. Stevenson gives only the barest facts, but I can imagine the emotions ran high at this point. Imagine how Babu felt to be recognized immediately by his dead sister reborn.

Ten-year-old Swarnlata went around the room looking at each man in turn; some she identified as men she knew from her town, some were strangers to her. Then she came to Sri Chintamini Pandey, Biya’s husband. Swarnlata lowered her eyes, looked bashful–as Hindu wives do in the presence of their husbands–and spoke his name. Stevenson says nothing of Sri Pandey’s reaction at finding his wife after twenty years

Swarnlata also correctly identified her son from her past life, Murli, who was 13 years old when Biya died. But Murli schemed to mislead her, and “for almost twenty-four hours insisted against her objections that he was not Murli, but someone else.” Murli had also brought along a friend and tried to mislead Swarnlata once again by insisting he was Naresh, Biya’s other son, who was about the same age as this friend. Swarnlata insisted just as strongly that he was a stranger.

Finally, Swarnlata reminded Sri Pandey that he had purloined 1200 rupees Biya kept in a box. Sri Pandey admitted to the truth of this private fact that only he and his wife had known.

Gold Fillings

A few weeks later, Swarnlata’s father took her to Katni to visit the home and town where Biya lived and died.

Upon arriving she immediately noticed and remarked about the changes to the house. She asked about the parapet at the back of the house, a verandah, and the neem tree that used to grow in the compound; all had been removed since Biya’s death. She identified Biya’s room and the room in which she had died. She recognized one of Biya’s brothers and correctly identified him as her second brother. She did the same for her third and fourth brother, the wife of the younger brother, the son of the second brother (calling him by his pet name “Baboo”), a close friend of the family’s (correctly commenting that he was now wearing spectacles, which he in fact had acquired since Biya had died) and his wife (calling her by her pet name “Bhoujai”), Biya’s sister-in-law–all with appropriate emotions of weeping and nervous laughter. She also correctly identified a former servant, an old betelnut seller, and the family cowherd (despite her youngest brother’s attempt to test Swarnlata by insisting that the cowherd had died).

Later, Swarnlata was presented to a room full of strangers and asked whom she recognized. She correctly picked out her husband’s cousin, the wife of Biya’s brother-in-law, and a midwife–whom she identified not by her current name, but by a name she had used when Biya was alive. Biya’s son Murli, in another test, introduced Swarnlata to a man he called a new friend, Bhola. Swarnlata insisted correctly that this man was actually Biya’s second son, Naresh. In another test, Biya’s youngest brother tried to trap Swarnlata by saying that Biya had lost her teeth; Swarnlata did not fall for this, and went on to say that Biya had gold fillings in her front teeth–a fact that the brothers had forgotten and were forced to confirm by consulting with their wives, who reminded them that what Swarnlata said was true.

This must have been a spectacle. Here was a ten-year-old stranger from far away–so far, in terms of Indian culture, that her dialect was distinctly different than that of the Pathaks–who acted confidently like an older sister of the household, was familiar with intimate names and family secrets, and remembered even marriage relationships, old servants, and friends. Just as amazing, her memory was frozen at the time of Biya’s death; Swarnlata knew nothing about the Pathak family that had happened since 1939.

In the following years, Swarnlata visited the Pathak family at regular intervals. Stevenson investigated the case in 1961, witnessing one of these visits. He observed the loving relationship between Swarnlata and the other members of the family. They all accepted her as Biya reborn.

Swarnlata behaved appropriately reserved towards Biya’s elders, but when alone with Biya’s sons, she was relaxed and playful as a mother would be–behavior that would otherwise be totally inappropriate in India for a 10-year-old girl in the company of unrelated men in their mid-thirties.

The Pathak brothers and Swarnlata observed the Hindu custom of Rakhi, in which brothers and sisters annually renew their devotion to each other by exchanging gifts. In fact the Pathak brothers were distressed and angry one year when Swarnlata missed the ceremony; they felt that because she had lived with them for 40 years and with the Mishras for only 10 years that they had a greater claim on her. As evidence of how strongly the Pathaks believed that Swarnlata was their Biya, they admitted that they had changed their views of reincarnation upon meeting Swarnlata and accepting her as Biya reborn (the Pathaks, because of their status and wealth, emulated Western ideas and had not believed in reincarnation before this happened). Swarnlata’s father, Sri Mishra, also accepted the truth of Swarnlata’s past identity: years later, when it came time for Swarnlata to marry he consulted with the Pathaks about the choice of a husband for her.

How did Swarnlata feel about all of this? Was it confusing for her to remember so completely the life of a grown woman? Stevenson visited her in later years and corresponded with her for ten years after this case was investigated. He reports that she grew up normally, received an advanced degree in botany, and got married. She said that sometimes, when she reminisced about her happy life in Katni, her eyes brimmed with tears and, for a moment, she wished she could return to the wealth and life of Biya. But her loyalty to the Mishra family was undivided and, except for the regular visits to Katni, she went about the business of growing into a beautiful young woman, accepting fully her station in this life.

In some ways Swarnlata is typical of Stevenson’s cases: the amazing number of facts and people she remembered; the positive identification of the previous personality, the exchange of visits between the families, and the age at which she first had her memories. What is not typical, however, is the persistence of clear memories into her adulthood, the lack of a traumatic death, and the support and cooperation between the families (in most cases one or both of the families are reluctant to encourage the child or to bring the case to the outside world). This is a sweet case that illustrates what profoundly enriching human experience a past life memory can bring about.

But many of the cases in Stevenson’s books are stories where love and miraculous reunions mix with conflict, violent death, and hostile emotions. The cases of Ravi Shankar [Chapter 6 in Children’s Past Lives] and Titu Singh illustrate the darker side of life that is often brought to the light when a child has a forceful past life memory.

“There shall be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars.” Luke 21:25

Astrology.

Bunk. Of the Devil. Evil.

I used to think of such things as astrology as sheer nonsense. Utter and COMPLETE Foolishness. The more I study spiritual things, the bible, etc. the more I am learning about how much is in there about astrological stuff that we have been TOLD to ignore. That we have been lead to believe is evil, when it seems to be – just the opposite. Allow me to explain.

I’m not talking about horoscopes here. Those are bunk. I’m talking about “Real” astrology – which means charting stars, birth times, and coordinates. Things forgotten for thousands of years and ignored by our scientists who think this place just sort of sprang into being and that everything is random. The church isn’t helping much either as they seem to possess fragments of taboo from the dark ages still.

There seems to be some sort of cultural stigma – at least for me –  that has been preserved as a cultural taboo due to the dark ages. You know – grab your torch and pitchfork – there’s an astrologer – let’s get him…. raaaaaah. Or in another situation, someone may respond “Get behind me Satan!!!!!”.

Some of my spiritual mentors have informed me that it is actually one of many tools that can be used to “Know thyself”, which would be part of any descent spiritual exploration program.

So I gave it a shot.

I hired a “professional” astrologer. Not one of these clowns on late night television mind you, but someone who is bonafide. Tried and true. I even used my limited powers of intuition to find the ideal astrologer, for me anyway.

I had to get my birth data. Apparently it is not recorded on my birth certificate so I had to contact the hospital. We got the birth time close until the hospital replies back with the actual time.

We did the best we could with my birth data, and already the results seem promising. She told me things about myself, about my personality, even about things buried deep down inside that I don’t talk about at cocktail parties. I tried to apply the things she was saying to other people I know and they weren’t matching so I figured that yeah, this was me and not some generality that I was wanting to believe. She was specific, but allowed for flexibility in how things MAY unfold.

She told me about my ability to piss people off without even trying. She told me about my knees even. My knees you say?

My knees started hurting about a month ago. Here we are sitting here going through the astrological chart and then the next thing you know she states – your knees are probably going to be hurting pretty bad for the next 6 months and should have started hurting recently. Have they? Gulp. Yes, they have actually. It is the strangest thing – I’ve never had problems with my knees.

She gave me a blue print of what COULD occur within my ongoing marital struggles and that it was likely that by the time my wife may want to come back, that I would no longer want the relationship. I was saddened by this.

She was very candid and wouldn’t allow me to lie to myself. Dang. She said that sometimes it is difficult to lay these things out exactly because things can be misread or misinterpreted, but gave some upcoming time frames for when things were more likely to change. When the tides were favorable so to speak and when they were not. Which direction the winds of change would be blowing and for how long.

We will see how it all plays out, but I think I am sold so far. She had me at the knees.

The Secret Law of Attraction

Posted February 28th, 2009 by Shohn
Categories: Laws, Prayer

Ever heard of the Law of Attraction? It is something being pushed in the new age realm that sounds awfully good on one level; however, it also seems to be a bit seductive – like the adulteress woman licking her lips:

Pro 7:10  And, behold, there met him a woman With the attire of a harlot, and wily of heart.
Pro 7:11  She is clamorous and wilful; Her feet abide not in her house:
Pro 7:12  Now she is in the streets, now in the broad places, And lieth in wait at every corner.
Pro 7:13  So she caught him, and kissed him, And with an impudent face she said unto him:
Pro 7:14  Sacrifices of peace-offerings are with me; This day have I paid my vows.
Pro 7:15  Therefore came I forth to meet thee, Diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
Pro 7:16  I have spread my couch with carpets of tapestry, With striped cloths of the yarn of Egypt.
Pro 7:17  I have perfumed my bed With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
Pro 7:18  Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning; Let us solace ourselves with loves.
Pro 7:19  For the man is not at home; He is gone a long journey:
Pro 7:20  He hath taken a bag of money with him; He will come home at the full moon.
Pro 7:21  With her much fair speech she causeth him to yield; With the flattering of her lips she forceth him along.
Pro 7:22  He goeth after her straightway, As an ox goeth to the slaughter, Or as one in fetters to the correction of the fool;
Pro 7:23  Till an arrow strike through his liver; As a bird hasteth to the snare, And knoweth not that it is for his life.
Pro 7:24  Now therefore, my sons, hearken unto me, And attend to the words of my mouth.
Pro 7:25  Let not thy heart decline to her ways; Go not astray in her paths.
Pro 7:26  For she hath cast down many wounded: Yea, all her slain are a mighty host.
Pro 7:27  Her house is the way to Sheol, Going down to the chambers of death.

I can say that the “Law of Attraction” does seem to be in effect in my own life, as there have been many things that have happened that would seem to fit in line with what is being peddled by this oh so clever marketing.  Deep down inside, I guess many of us have places that secretly desire to get that which we haven’t worked for.

Do we recall the S and L fun of the 80s? How about Adjustable Rate Mortgages? Something for nuthin. Accepting a credit card with high interest rates so you can be cool and have a “real” credit card?

To be fair, I have had things happen where I issued a prayer and then “let it go” and a couple days later or in some cases -years later, the prayer would in fact be answered.  It has been things as simple as a button for my shorts, my missing wedding ring, my wife, and even a job. However, in many cases I did have to work still. The law of attraction would not work for some guy showing up with a million dollars on your door step I think. You still would have to work… otherwise I suspect that the payoff may be at another time.

This may be coupled with the idea of Abraham being counted as righteous for believing God – after he put is son up for sacrifice. The action followed the intent it seems.
Peddlers of the law of attraction imply that Physics professor John Hagelin is a teacher of The Law of Attraction.

“A scientific basis exists for the ideas in “The Secret” but was simplified for the masses, counters John Hagelin, a professor of physics at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield who is featured in the DVD.Hagelin said his research has shown that thoughts can affect the physical environment, but advanced training in mind techniques is needed. Advanced practitioners of Transcendental Meditation are currently involved in mass meditation in Fairfield to create world peace. ‘The Secret’ sells because people don’t have to do anything,” Hagelin said. “They just have to want a necklace and it will come to them. But so weak an influence is working at the time that they are better off getting a job and buying a necklace.”

Clever marketing gimmick?

Natural Healing

Posted February 24th, 2009 by Shohn
Categories: Food, Health

Quoted from an email that is floating around on the Internet:

It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the
fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish… all before
making a human. He made and provided what we’d need before we were born.
These are best & more powerful when eaten raw. We’re such slow
learners…
*
God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!
*
*A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating
lines look just like the human eye… and YES, science now shows carrots
greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.*
*A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is
red. All of the research shows **tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are
indeed pure heart and blood food.*
*Grapes** **hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape
looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also
profound heart and blood vitalizing food.*
*A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper
cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut
are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than
three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.*
*Kidney Beans* actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes,
they look exactly like the human kidneys.
*Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb** and many more look just like bones. These
foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these
foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the
body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish
the skeletal needs of the body.*
*Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears** target the health and function of the
womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s
research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances
hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And
how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado
from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical
constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has
only studied and named about 141 of them).*
*Figs* are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase
the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to
overcome male sterility.

*Sweet Potatoes** *look like the pancreas and actually balance the
glycemic index of diabetics.

*Olives** *assist the health and function of the ovaries

*Oranges, **Grapefruits*, and other *Citrus* fruits look just like the
mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts
and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

*Onions** *look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions
help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce
tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, *

Carl Jung – Kava Kava Lucid Dreaming

In continuation of my previous post on Vitamins. This one will take a bit to warm up.

A few days ago, as I was coming to work – something sort of said to me as the odometer was approaching 140.00 – see where you are at when the odometer is at 140. I thought to myself – errr? What is this raucus?

Yup. Talking to myself again I guess… maybe. Perhaps it was a disincarnate spirit. Perhaps a “nature god”. Perhaps my higher self. Jesus? God? Earth Consciousness? My subconscious? I really don’t know at this point. I do know it was a thought though and it popped into my head out of nowhere so I went with it.

As I approached the magical 140 – well at first I thought that maybe this was related to the street sign I had just passed, but then I realized I was actually on a “bridge”.  Bridge. Interesting.

As I drove into work, I happened to pass right by bus #140. Interesting. The plot thickens.

I arrived at work and checked my email. The first message in there is something about “The Bridge – Step 9″. I zeroed in on this for two reasons: one – the girl who served me last night at Denny’s had her birthday on the 9th, and two – this bridge event which had happened earlier. So I read the email and went ahead and downloaded this ebook called “The Bridge”.  It is essentially a prayer / manifestion guide in the spirit of Mark 11:22, but with a new age flavor. That sounds great, but wait – it gets better.

This same morning I had a few dreams most of which are in my written dream journal offline; however, I thought I’d bring to the forefront – one of the dreams. In it, my wife and I were both riding back to our old house (I was driving) and came back the reverse direction from a long winding road in my hometown to our old house. She kept asking – do you normally come this way and similar questions. As you may know, we are currently separated and I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to get our marriage back together somehow – so this dream may have had some marital messaging for me in addition to any cosmic type guidance.

As I opened my brand new book, “the Bridge”, somehow the computer had switched it to page 30, which was The Bridge Reminder #6 – Getting Home! It discussed loving our enemies and such. I felt jolted as I recalled my dream about getting home the reverse direction. Home. Home sweet home. The back way????? Errrr?

I thought it was neat how the whole thing went down. Now one could certainly argue that all of this is merely a function of my brain or ego attempting to survive and recognizing patterns and attaching to them. Fair enough. I have thought much the same myself. However, here is the kicker. Once this stuff starts happening, it seems to get louder and louder until you start to pay attention and quit ignoring it – at least that is how it went down for me.

This all ties back into the idea that what we call reality is in a weird sort of way – actually a dream  – not that I’ve ever woken up from the dream – this is all purely theory and speculation at this point. Shohn’s tips for getting marriage back together – find out secrets of the universe – then get marriage back together. Perhaps my strategy is a bit off.

With this framework laid out, I have been attempting to follow / get guidance from what many would term in the new age as the “higher self”. It seems that there are a variety of channels for communicating with whatever is up there or out there in the blue ether.

Here is another example. I had a spiritual question on vitamins – rather – which ones to use. I had researched various herbs for enhancing dream vividness. The goal being to get my mind to such a level that I can have a “near death experience” and talk to the being at the end of the tunnel of light without the normally mandatory blood and guts for such an experience. If you are a Bible reader, you may recall the experience that Paul had in the desert on the way to Damascus – the blinding light? Well, instead of taking LSD or Peyote like normal folks, I’m trying to get my mind to operate at maximal levels to arise from this dream we call reality. This means I need appropriate neurotransmitter chemical thingies or something like that.

One herb I had found was something called the kava kava root. It is said to help reduce anxiety and allow for better sleep. Mmmmmmm -  reduced anxiety… yummy.

I was researching this in the morning.  I specifically looked this one up on wikipedia. Later on that night, I opened my herb book for the first time in a long time. It turned to a page about “Kava Kava” root – directly.  This was not in the middle of the book. It was a 300 page book. Coincidence?  You tell me.

I decided it wasn’t and went to the vitamin store for some good ol’ Kava Kava root.

At this time, I have been taking it for several days in conjunction with super doses of B vitamins.

The first night I took it, it felt sort of weird as I was fading into sleep. However, through this combination – I have noticed a definite improvement in the vividness of my dreams. Many seem “real”.  Since then, almost every single night – my dreams have been quite vivid – leaving impressions to sort through for much of the rest of the day.  No tunnel of light at this point, but hey I am still learning how to eat spiritual baby food here.

Well with my new found dream pills, I have been having some rather interesting dreams about the wife. The day before I had a dream that she was “cleaning” out our house, but wasn’t ready to come home. Last night I had a dream that she was “preparing” to come home. I can’t wait for this dream to become reality.

Lucid Dreaming – Vitamins

About a year ago, as I started down the path of attempting to clean my house spiritually speaking, part of it included exploring various scriptures that seem to go unnoticed by various folks in the Christian realm.

For example:

  • Ecclesiastes 12:6
Remember your Creator before the silver cord is snapped, the golden bowl is broken, the pitcher is smashed near the spring, and the water wheel is broken at the cistern.
  • 2 Cor 12:2-4 (KJV)
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
  • I John 2:27
As for you, the anointing which you received from God abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as God’s anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in God.
  • 3 Nephi 28:15 of the Book of Mormon
15 And whether they were in the body or out of the body, they could not tell; for it did seem unto them like a transfiguration of them, that they were changed from this body of flesh into an immortal state, that they could behold the things of God.

These are definitely a bit out there and probably have something to do with what is termed astral travel, lucid dreaming, etc. now a days.

I’ve had a few lucid dreams and seemingly out of body experience over the course of my life, but as usual never really knew what triggered it. Most of the time it seems to have been a function of just the right amount of being tired.

Mind you – Lucid Dreaming is just opening – newbie stuff. Stated another way, I caution you – astral travel / OBE has nothing to do with the inner kingdom that Yeshua was describing. At least that is what my sources tell me.

Back to Lucid Dreaming.

Another author had described certain vitamin supplements that can help.

Excerpted from:

I am constantly looking for new ways to increase my ability to reach lucidity. Anyone who knows about lucid dreaming, know that it takes a lot of practice to get it right. After reading this thread at the forum on LD4All, — snip

Conclusion:
In the beginning I was a little anxious about the high dose of B-vitamin. However, I have seen no signs of side effects. I am sure it makes it easier for me reach lucidity, this being placebo or not. However, I am sure that such a high dose of one specific vitamin is unhealthy for my body, which is why a break is necessary. But I am definitely going to try this again, sometime in the future.

The author of the above article seems to have had some luck with B6. On my two most recent lucid dreams about 6 weeks ago, the factors were:

  • Heat – it was warm and cozy.
  • Got up a bit and walked around then laid back down around 7AM – the dreams occurred at 9AM ish.
  • Took a salt bath the night before around 1-2 AM
  • I’m on a vegetarian diet. I had been eating cheese enchiladas once in awhile. I had cut out all cheese enchiladas for fear that there might be chicken broth in the mix somehow.
  • Had placed an amethyst crystal near my bed.
  • Had started taking a few additional vitamins including something called DMEA.
  • Ate spinach with risotta cheese, sun dried tomatoes the night before.
  • Ate whole wheat spaghetti with heart healthy sauce the night before.
  • I was eating lots of cottage cheese at the time.
  • Was eating lots of spinach then anyway

Was there extra B6 in this diet? Not that I’m aware of – well maybe in the cottage cheese.

I am now in the habit of remembering my dreams mostly every night, though the depth and lucidity of the dream does seem to vary. Some of the things I have done to achieve this to compensate for the laziness factor when it comes to record the dreams. It is 3AM – you want to go back to sleep right? Well, at least I do. So I have used a pad right next to my bed or a tape recorder. While is great, I’m still trying to figure out how to become lucid.

For now, I am still experimenting. I suspect that the body may adjust to receiving new vitamin input and thus the effect may go down after some time. So I am thinking of adjusting my daily and nightly vitamin cocktail to have a “bye week”.  This may include additional “folic acid”.

From what I have read so far, one should try not to have a heavy meal as this requires too much energy during the night – thus removing possibilities for lucid dreams. However, that was not my experience. It was a fairly sizable meal the night before, yet I was hungry when I went to bed because it was spinach and pasta.

My personal research continues……..

Lucid Dreams of a P.T. Cruiser

Well, I’ve had two Lucid dreams now since the holidays have ended. These dreams were so real, well, I thought it was real in my dream, yet I knew I was dreaming. Very fun stuff and yes cheaper than a movie. The movie industry will now have to hire all kinds of lobbyists to keep this cat in the bag. Free entertainment using one’s mind – what a concept.

I’ve recorded some of the other details offline, but I thought that this may help others who would like to travel the inner recesses of their own mind.

I’ve been vegetarian for almost 8 or 9 months now, and I noticed that by switching to that there was a marked improvement in the number of synchronization type events in my life (read about Carl Jung on google to learn more). I had a lucid dream about a week ago on the Sabbath, but wasn’t sure what caused it or if I could duplicate it. The conditions were eating spinach the day before and not much else, staying up much later than my usual time (i go to bed around 9 usually – this time I went to bed around 1), woke up at around 7 or so and walked around, went back to bed and was very WARM and cozy under the covers. I felt almost lethargic it was so cozy. The heat was cranked up a bit too. I had listened to something called Centerpoint, which is a meditation / trance induction mental enhancement type music, daily each night before.

I simply repeated each of the steps above and whammmo lucid dream again. Previously, I could never quite narrow down what caused them other than being really tired. Now I think I’ve found a way to trick the body into being tired.

At this point one of them seems to be tied to reality somehow, the reason is, in the dream, I started driving a royal blue P.T. cruiser with a manual transmission (stick) and I’ve never seen or heard of one of these bad boys, but I found out today that a friend of mine has friends who used one of these very rare vehicles, at least in my mind, for transporting folks to church or something like that. Maybe I need to meet them for some reason, who knows with dreams.
